Have a slight tick, Is there a easy way to tell if it is a rocker or lifter?

 

first I would make sure its not an exhaust gasket. if not then try to locate the side or area, pop off the cover and then check for a loose rocker. also check the pushrods when on the base circle to see if there is any slack in them, that's a start.
