Default Looking to get the most out of my combo. (TSP OR AI for 243s)

Currently the car (2000 z28) has stock 241s, an ls6 intake, and a 231/235 cam. Last time it was on the rollers it made 400rwhp, and like 360-370 torque.

I recently acquired a set of untouched 243s, and I'm looking to have them sent out to get the most out of them, so I'm looking for suggestions. I want to also pick up a fast intake, probably a 102. Is it possible to pick up 50-60hp with the right company doing the heads? And if so, who? I emailed advance induction but no response yet, so I'd be willing to hear other suggestions.

If you're talking a 102 intake and worked 243s, I think your goal is reasonable assuming everything else is on par(exhaust especially). Most of the larger outfits you can see on their page what they do with a 243(LS6) head, AI included. They actually have a LOT of info listed about their 243 work.

I have a set of heads here done by a guy named Lloyd Elliott and they are super nice. Unfortunately I don't have a project to use them on anymore. He is more in the "bang for buck" category than the companies chasing a flow number but the performance is going to be similar and the price...assembled with goodies(springs/valves/etc.) for what the other guys charge just for a CNC and mill.

Since the 400hp on the dyno I've stepped up to 1 7/8 headers, and tsp duals. I had a pretty restrictive set up prior. These 243 heads I scooped up for $50, so it's not a big deal to spent a $1000 on them. A friend of mine just got his heads back from tsp, and they look nice, but I'd rather use AI if I'm
Going to leave a decent amount of hp on the table.

Ai can port the 102 and match it to the heads , might be a good choice as well... other comparable companies to send out the heads to would be wcch and tea

I know when I was going to use 243's, I was going with TEA. I would use TEA or AI. I'm not really a fan of PRC springs they use. The only thing I didn't like about the AI heads, is he uses the stock size intake valves, TEA steps it up to a 2.04 valve.

One isn't going to blow away the other. I'd go with the cheaper option and put the savings elsewhere.

Smaller valves could be the difference between fly cutting and running a thinner head gasket for the OP. If that 231/235 cam is on a tight LSA and/or advanced ICL, stock size valves provide more clearance.

I will be going with AI when the time comes.

AI has proven to make power on the dyno and the track.

AI would be my suggestion....proven results.
Also, I would skip the fast intake and go with the msd. Have Tony Mamo port it and you will have a sweet setup!

Can you elaborate on why you think the Mamo ported MSD would be better than a Mamo ported FAST 102mm? From what I've seen in several threads, the MSD intake is a nightmare to install and has several design issues.

The msd makes more power. Not sure if there any fitment issues in an f-body, but over on the corvette forum it has edged out the fast.
Regardless which one is chosen, I still would have Tony port it for maximum gains.
