I spoke with Texas Speed today and they recommended 243 heads with their stage 2.5 port work, 224R cam 224/224 .600/.600 112 LSA, PAC beehive valvesprings, TSP chromolly pushrods, melling HP oil pump, LS7 lifters, and a rollmaster timing set.

What do you guys think about this?

That would work fine. Just FYI, the double roller timing sets can be a PITA because they space the oil pump out further so you have to grind the front cover to make room. Its not the end of the world, but a single roller can save you the headache.

I finally got some heads from a local shop. 243 cast out of a 07 and 08 5.3. One has exhaust manifold broke off and the other is fine. I'm hoping after this week I will get the rest of the parts on the way.

Hey guys. I have all my parts. Ended up getting just about everything from WS6 Store. They are very good guys. John is top notch. He has been a tremendous help and they will forever have my business.

0.030" over bore
0.010" cut and polished crank
Balanced rotating assembly
243 heads (I smoothed the ports)
Valve job
Replaced valve guides
221/227.608/.613 112+1
BTR .660 platinum dual springs
Chromolly pushrods
Morrel 5315 lifters and new trays
Yella Terra ultralight rockers
Melling high press pump
Clevite P main and rod bearings
Durabond cam bearings
Cloyes double roller
Speed Pro Hyper-E dish pistons and molly rings
New sensors
TSP 1 3/4" LT

I bought HPTuner software so I can do my own tuning. I'm hoping for ~430WHP and ~500WTQ. CR should be 10.47 stat and 9.5:1 dyn. I think I'll be happy. Just have to get it together now haha.
