internals needed for 10's in 98-02 fbody
Those who have gone high tens with cnc243s and a street able 228/232 sized cam usually get rare mine shaft quality air.
You make everyday, real world, all the time tens ALOT easier with some Mamo 223, Trick Flow 220, or PRC 225 heads and all the compression you can create
Try staying away from a huge cam as torque will be needed to move all the weight.
Some 3.73 or 4.10 gears plus the 4000 converter will be needed as well as a very effective chassis to plant 1.50 sixty foot times
A 123-125 mile per hour will get it done but again, requires a well thought out and maximized combination. Won't be cheap at all. Plenty of threads to search here.
FAST intake needed and Jim Moran @ Speed Inc. knows how to tune very well

Or you could do bolt-ons (or skip some of them and just go with a mild cam) and a small shot of nitrous and be done with it. At least your car would still be fun to drive.

Certainly any aftermarket cast head will be easier than a ported stock head option to hit those numbers.
You'll need to do a lot of optimization to get every ounce out of the car, light weight clutch, dual exhaust, gears, and set your valve train up to rev into the 7k range.
All that may not be necessary, but if you do all of it, you won't have to go back in later for corrective surgery
My goal is 10s but honestly I'd be happy if it ran that time.
