Yeah, I'm sure you're right. The car definitely made more peak power and torque with it open. I think some of it is mental as well. It's so loud when open, even at lower RPM's, that it feels like I should be going faster than I am
Tang2, have you run this setup at the track at all? Just curious I used to have a pretty similar setup with an M6 and ran a best of I think 12.4-5.
Looking at going back to a reverse split just not sure.

Reverse splits are not common these days. In my old camaro, i had predatorZ spec me out a cam. 232/228 .603/.598 110lsa. This was complimented by bone stock untouched '98 heads, ls1 intake, stock maf with a 98mm ftp lid, pacesetter 1 3/4 headers and dual 2 1/2in x pipe duals over the axle, 3.73 gears amd a 4k stall. Car ran amazing! Made 399rwhp on a 100* day with an outside dyno. Ran consistant 11.6's at 116mph with a 1.4 60ft. Car was full weight.
With a stock ls1 manifold, the cam you listed will run amazing. However, once you add heads/ intake etc, id look at other options
