Turned engine over by hand CCW by accident
Turned engine over by hand CCW by accident I accidentally turned my engine over counter clockwise very slightly, I was reading some things about how this could throw timing off. Should i worry about this? I was completely not thinking when I tried to loosen the crank pulley bolt, the pulley turned for split second and I stopped. Hopefully I'm over reacting?
Honestly guys, I thought the same thing, then when you look up "turned engine over by hand counter clockwise" in google you get a handful of responses about timing issues, jumped teeth etc lol. I saw that and just figured I'd ask people with actual automotive knowledge, especially with these engines.

On a simple chain engine like this it's no big deal. It's the DOHC/multi-chain/belt motors that have issues. The tensioners that they use tend to collapse when being spun backwards and then the chain or belt jumps a tooth. But on this simple OHV style there are no issues.
