Lift is a bit high but not bad other than that. What trans and gearing?

How'd you got 10:1 compression with 243 heads?

As mentioned lift to high for stock head flow (.590" is plenty)
,stock rockers,(.620" max with trunion or bushing upgrade)
also need stronger springs to control, and
Exhaust split is at least 4* if not 6* to big unless adding
150-200 N2O, should have 11.00:1 comp as well.
Cam Motion LS1 Titan 3 or 4, or BTR LS1/2 Stage 2,
Any of those 3 would perform much better for your application
as well as last longer and be more reliable
(more stable valve train).
In my opinion.

Yeah but why? Maybe boost down the road would be the only reason I can think of. If just a heads cam setup I'd run a much thinner gasket like .40 or something.

I'm looking at possibly buying a used cam with the same specs as the one listed in the OP. I currently have a stock 853 headed LS1 bolted to a 4L80E in a 94 Camaro, and eventually want to spray it some. Is the cam way to big for a stock headed motor or would it work okay for a bit? I really just want something to make the car a bit more fun till I can work up a turbo setup.

If you plan on boosting it, why not go for a turbo cam?

I would, but I'm not sure how long it will be till that happens. I don't mind having to swap out the cam again when the car does get a turbo.
