Default Camming a C5

Ok dose anyone know if you need to pull the engine to do a cam swap on a c5 I have been told you do. but maybe someone out there has done it without pulling the engine, let me know thanks. And what would be a good cam to get for driveability and little computer tuning needed?
thanks for any info!

Thanks guys <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

The steering rack and radiator have to come out to get the cam out with the engine still in the car. No biggie.

I'm in the process of doing it now....
I left the steering rack in just loosened the engine mounts and jacked up the motor about 5 inches to get the crank pulley off...
I did unbolt the steering rack but did not take it out..
Who knows is might have been easier to remove the steering rack but i like to leave parts in if i can.
I removed the hood that was just way to much in the way...
