I'm running 224/224. I like it for low/midrange street fun.

I still run a 216/220 .600"/ .600" 112 with ported heads and the other usual mods but looking to change it shortly. However im not changing for more power, this cam has done well there for what it is. I am changing for different reasons.

I was looking at the Cam Motion 218/226 .595"/.587" 116 but after advice on here I am now looking at the EPS 214/232 .605"/.598" 117 due to running short extractors and twin 2.5" exhaust.

I've been 10's with my baby cam n/a. With not much weight reduction either.

Any idea how much power you're pulling with that cam? Also, what is the idle like?

My 99TA still has the 224/224 XE-R on a true 113 LSA from 2002, it's an excellent daily driver cam.

My 91 RS also has a "small" cam 229/229 on a 114 LSA in a 383 LS1, drives milder than the 224/224 in the TA.

I like the medium Cams of 15 years ago, they are the small Cams of today

When I got my 224r I had wanted a 228 but saw a "can't pass this up" kind of deal.
Very happy with it after 5 years.
Always better to slightly undercam than overcam

If it is your daily driver, I agree with this statement 100%. If its your weekend car, go big or you will more than likely want more.
