Default and...KABOOM!!!

So, I haven't been out here much in the last few years, mostly haven't been doing much with the car, but finally decided to get her out on the new road course that opened up 15 miles from the house. Well 2nd session of the day claimed the life of the of the 178k+ mile motor (Stock head/bottom end). So...I'm back out here researching motor ideas...limited budget of course. In any event I figured I'd re-intro myself.

As far as carnage...I only found a piece of connecting rod and a wrist pin broken in three pieces...and of course two enormous holes in the oil pan and block.

I've got in car and spectator video, but I'll post that up in the road course/auto X section.

I watched the driving video and how are you revving a stock motor to 6800rpm?

I hope you were having fun out there!

It let go on the straight, right after shifting out of third and getting back on the gas in 4th.

Here's the thread on the trackday with the videos.
