On the left, you can see the almost brand new " LS1 " rocker arm. On the right, this is a factory 03 LQ4 rocker arm. You can see there's a difference in en angle of the "tip" and the bearing is not the same.

On the last picture this is not really clear but you can see a thread. I can't slide the bolt on and off like my factory lq4 rocker arm.

This rocker looks aftermarket. Whose? Good question! The bearing is a different type than the factory type.

those are not for an LS engine. they're for the LU3/LG3 4.3 V6

That explains why he was given 12 of them; a complete set for a V6.....

Put it on a head and check geometry! ;-)
The 60* v6 rockers look like this also.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 4.3 rockers are 1.6 ratio and the LS rockers are 1.7. From the first shot it looks like the push rod socket is a little further from the rocker fulcrum than the LS.
