Double roller chain with LS2 dampener?
Who here runs a double roller chain with an LS2 dampener? Maybe not necessary, but my main question is going to be if there is any interference or rubbing with running one. If there isn't, for $20 or so, it wouldn't be a bad investment I would think.
Couldn't find any really solid answers to this question from the threads I found on here.

Single Chain = Strongest
Hi Don, I am in Santa Ana, CA.
I would like to invite you to my shop to inspect MY Single Chain AND Billet Gears.
I use these only with either guide dampener both LS-2 and L-92 VVT.
Jimmy, I have drilled some blocks for the guide, the ones with bosses present.
I ALWAYS fit the guide.

I've retro fit them to iron 6.0 blocks using a transfer punch, 17/64 drill with collar, M8x1.25 tap punch and shop vac after careful placement, it's not difficult, measure twice before tapping your punch. Did not use double roller chains.

I read somewhere on one of these forums that someone makes a thicker damper for use with double roller chains, would make since so the entire section width of the chain(s) can make contact with the damper. Most of the time I don't see a damper used with Double Roller chains, even tho I would prefer to use something.
Can anyone confirm if there is a thicker damper for use with double roller chains?

If you want to use the LS2 style damper on a block that has no mounting holes, simply use this adapter:

I have had the Katech LS6 damper in my car, but took it off when I swapped cams. I was running a Rollmaster Double Roller.
It's not needed with a double chain but necessary with a single. The single whips around and can break. The double has no slack in it.
When I took it apart, there was zero witness marks on the damper. And the double roller was still impossibly tight.
