Sounds like the #8 lifter is not holding oil very well and I'm getting some excessive valvetrain noise.

What are options for lifters in these motors?

I should mention the motor does have a 224/224 114 LSA Cam in it, would these work for that setup?

 

Theyll work with nearly any hyd roller street cam.

That would normally consist of new lifter trays (optional), head gaskets, head bolts, exhaust gaskets, valve cover gaskets.
