5.3L w/ Ls9 Cam won't start
Hey guys,
I installed a Ls9 Cam in a 5.3 LM7 that I put in 04 suburban that needed a motor. I put a ls2 Cam gear (12576407) and a ls2/ls3 front cover (12600326) and Cam sensor (213-3826) along with the Cam sensor extension harnes. Long story short. I kept getting a P0343 code. BUT it would run. Have the occasional hard start. Nothing to crazy. I drove it 2 hours yesterday to my brothers house and go out the next morning and now it won't start. Am I looking at Cam walk or Cam sensor issue or what am I missing here. It's getting fuel so the fuel pump is good. It's just crazy I drive it 2 hours do multiple pulls for tuning reasons, turn it on & off when writing the tune and now this.

There are 2 different cam sensor ext harness. Like the guy above stated, it depends on if you are running directly into the sensor, or if your front cover had a harness on it. The part number you have has no harness with the cover, so I assume you are running direct to the sensor.
You should be running the racetronix ls2-csah
Not the LS2-csah-2

[QUOTE=glanzergtx;19658582] It's getting fuel so the fuel pump is good. /QUOTE]
This train of thought has gotten me into trouble in the past, there is a big difference in the engines ability to run at 20psi vs 50psi. If the cam sensor wiring does not fix your problem, I think it would be wise to check fuel pressure to rule that out.
