Initial test drive after cam swap not impressed
Long tubes ory hi flow lid
Mail order tune car ran fine drove well
Stored for the winter
Installed cam and oversized slp maf had the mail order tune updated for for cam ..before I took t pit for the season
Again I have not driven the car for 6 months so I don't really remember how it went previously
Got it together today . Starts and runs well drives well . Filled it up with fresh fuel and put about 10 miles on it ... I'll register it tomorrow
Initial Seat of the pants feel is the same ...
Should I have noticed a huge difference . Maybe it's just been to long since I drove it last and it really does go better...
Figured the car would impress over the durmax lb7 that I have been driving daily....
I'll get some more miles put on it tomorrow
Again I only put 10 miles on it due to lack of registration
Tomorrow may yield a different opinion
I'm not dissing the cam
just in general assumed seat of the pants results would be more noticeable ...

Don't expect a mail order to be right the first time
I had my 2 kids in the back seat
They were helping me work on it for the last few days and wanted to go for a ride
Just a few hard rolls thru 3rd gear
I was just expressing my initial opinion
My 1st car with a cam swap

I know I can't correct this with out a tune .. but can I get myself headed in the right direction by looking at the data on my tech 2

This combo would crutch that 1500-3000 rpm torque that just went flat from that rather big cam jump.
The tune WILL help; but it's not going to set the world on fire until the rest of the set-up is ironed out.....
part of the graph. After you get the tune tweaked and start to really beat on it, you will be amazed as to how your car feels. And yes you might need bigger injectors but wait till your tuner looks at your duty cycle. Some need them and some don't (I did).
The 230/236 cam probably won't make as much under 3,500 rpm torque as the stock cam did. With car being an M6 a set of 4.10 gears if the car has stock gears would really help deliver that powerful feeling in the lower rpm and add to fun factor.
With M6 4th Gen Fbody: 4.10's, great clutch like a McCloud RXT, Pro 5.0 shifter. & T56 Magnum are my favorite mod's.
my experience
Last year they deleted egr air and rear 02s after the header install
I was happy with the car all season ..
Retune for the cam was free just had to pay for shipping .
So I figured I'd try the mail order 1st..
