I am new to the ls and turbo world i like to get some recommendations for my ls build that is going in my 87 r10 swb. The goal is about 500 to 600 hp to the wheels
So far i got ​​​​​​this parts for my build
-ls9 cam and matching ls9 springs
.558/.5​​​​​62 lsa 122.5
-2005 ls2 timing cover with sensor and cam gear
-ls7 lifters
The heads are still the stock heads 706 (think of doing port and polish and bigger intake valves
I also have la9 heads gaskets​​​​​​

Question​​​​​​
- on the lm7 will the stock bottom end hold boost and how much before i need to upgrade it?
- for the heads is it worth to port and polish and upgrade the valves or just get the 243 heads and port and polish those?
-what will be a good size single turbo i could use that spools quick like 3k to 4k range? I was suggested hx40 and hx55 also s472 what you all think

some pretty good info, and then do with it what you feel is appropriate.
