Default Need help finding an ls1 cam

Hey everyone I'm currently ls1 swapping an 89 firebird and I'm looking to put a nice sounding cam in before I put the motor in. The motor is from a 99 z28 stock heads, stock intake manifold, stock headers with cats I'm gonna use an slp cat back exhaust on it. Looking for a little bigger than stock cam not too worried about major power gain just want a nice sounding cam. The car is going to be my daily driver so I really don't want to sacrifice anything on that part. I would like to upgrade to a fast intake or ls6 intake in the future but that will be kinda far down the line probably. Really would want a full cam Kit with the supporting parts I need with it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I would recommend out high lift hot cam. Sounds aggressive at idle, quiet on the valvetrain, easy on springs, budget minded, and drives easy. Makes good power.

Here is a

most likely.. I have been looking into getting some aftermarket shorty headers but not too sure if I will yet. I need the car to pass emissions so I may just leave it.

Its an awesome cam! You can't go wrong with it. I picked up 5 mph in the 1/4 mile vs. the old GM hot cam it replaced, I couldn't be happier.
You also can't beat these guys for customer service and tech support... They are very knowledgeable and are always willing to make sure you are completely sastified with your purchase and how your vehicle performs.

best pick up a LS2 timing chain and LS6 oil pump while you're shopping. Will also need front gasket set and dampner bolt (the old one is single use only).

^^^^^This^^^^^^^
Plus, for the oil pump, get one of WS6store's new ported oil pumps. Should be an improvement over a non-ported one

You can pass on the pump then, chains are $42 so not horrible and the front cover kit with water pump gaskets and crank bolt is $38.99.

You can include them with the can for free shipping also.

I'm gonna have to get a new cam due to a bad lifter so how do you (tech@ws6store) think this compares to my current 224/230 cam horsepower wise ? I did get 243 heads to go with this new cam (whatever it ends ups being )

Our high lift hot cam would likely be on par, the high lift asa will surpass it and be as quiet under the hood or quieter.
