Every year we have a big cruise (second only to Woodward) in my town. That previous run was two years ago on a portable DynoJet they run there from BackStreet Performance. Last year the dyno got rained out. Tonight I went out there on a whim as the dyno was usually run on Saturday. I have obligations tomorrow and was bummed that once again I couldn't make it. I was surprised they had it going tonight and got in line. I think comparisons are best on the same dyno, same conditions. Tonight she put down 480 RWHP with 460 TQ. I was getting knock up top (which I'd not gotten on the street) and the operator had to back down and she dived after knocking. He said I should be closer to 500 with things sorted out. That's still a 43 RWHP gain. I was impressed and happy although I knew from driving her that she has more HP than tire.
This is the first pull of 468 before the immediate next pull of 480. I was bummed I got such bad knock up top. In street tuning it logged none. Those dynos are hard on an engine I guess. 490 or more is possible.
Can't find current picture of exhuast but here's one before I split the tail pipes. The front half from the header flange through X pipe back to the Borla Pro XS mufflers is still the same. I added two 16" DynoMax bullets after 2 1/2" mandrel bends out of the Borlas before angling back to the custom cuts on either side of the '04 rear valiance. The 3" "mid"-pipes are seen by the engine as part of the header collector before the reduction in diameter and tune the exhaust for great street torque.
