Nos with Trex cam only

How safe is it to run NOS with just a Trex cam compared to the factory cam??

Im not sure what this "NOS" word does with the Trex cam, i hear about quite often from the ricers around here, but if you were going to be using "nitrous" then it might work well

See up here in MN I do allot of street racing, so maybe that is why I refer To Nitrous Oxide as "NOS". We just got our first tar road in MN last week so that should really help me hook up nice. Thanks for the info...

Don't be listening to that fool. NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS NOS. The ricers call it NAWZ! Don't be hating! NOS is a brand. NOS works best with a cam with no over lap, 6 to 8 more duration on the exhaust side, and a wider LSA. I have NOS cam in my 72 and it has a 226 intake 234 exhaust with a 114 lsa. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the support and info guys....well I really don't care if I am stealthy or not. Just wanted to get some input to see if the nitrous would be harder on the more with a wild cam like that. I do hit the track once in awhile called Brainard International Speedway, and I think they have that paved this year also.......(hehe)
Another question....so what is the drivablity of the Trex cam, I mean can I still drive my car to 40 miles to work a day here and there without wrecking anything..... Somtimes my John Deere breaks down and can't drive it to work........ (hehe)

Your first tar road so you can hook? Yah your a street racer all right. Don't forget to hook the NOS into the valve cover, it works much better there.
