Can anyone confirm that this block was simply milled to 8.88 deck height or are they offering a casting this way now? My company is in need of an aluminum short deck block.

This is not an aluminum block build. It's compacted graphite (CG) which is what the GM cup block is made of. An extremely stable material, and relatively liteweight at the same time. $$$$$$$

Yes I know, but they cast the next block in aluminum too. Our car is running an LS3 and everything is based off that weight on the front. Road racing car.
