Yes, and it's always nice to see an update on what the cause was/is.

Just shows YOU have to check every detail. Doesn't take long, and really worthwhile.

Thanks for the update. That's great news. Glad it's up and running.

If it makes you feel any better, I purchased a shortblock from an ex sponsor here a very long time ago. When I installed my engine, I had some symptoms of low oil pressure. So, after searching around I stumbled upon the "Barbell" at this site and decided to give the shop a call. They said that they do NOT install any of these plugs, including the oil galley plugs and it's the customers responsibility. (Which I agree that we all should do our due diligence but come on, this was an LSX Specialty shop)!!!

I tore my engine out to reinstall a barbell, convinced that had to be the problem. Guess what? The Barbell was IN THE BLOCK as well as all other needed plugs. Wish I would have put a gauge on it to confirm but I didn't want to run the engine and take a chance. I R&R'd that bitch for no reason lol. But I learned a lesson FWIW....

I just seen this same problem on Diesel Brothers. The only problem with there LS1 is they ran it and smoked the engine. The took the timing cover off and found the plug missing.
