I found a couple other companies doing it. Some sponsors some not. All around the $500-700 price range. 1 of them was $550 with a valve job.

They're not a sponsor. They are hand ported, not CNC'd, but still with a VJ thats pretty good.

I am bouncing between the Katech deal and Texas Speed deal. If I just do the port job they will go to Katech. Since I know nothing about the heads I have I may send to Texas Speed since they include the pressure test and valve job. I still need to price the test and valve job local to see if I can save a little money. I have a set of 241’s I got cheap that supposedly came off a running engine. I cleaned them up today in preparation for shipping. They look good to me. I hope one of the local shops here will not be too expensive

Well this thing fired right up today and surprisingly idled with open headers on the GM tune; even though it has the 3800 injectors

I'm sure you had a nice big smile when you heard that thing fire over.......when I fired mine up open header I think my o2 sensors reacted funny and started over fueling the car....once I added 12" more pipe after the collector it was fine....then I stuck the smallest glasspacks I can find just to keep my nieghbors at bay!

the engine owner did **** all over himself. From a mechanical standpoint I know it’ll be a decent combination but for an LT to LS swap with GM tune and different injectors it does kinda surprise me how well it started idled
