I've looked at a lot of old post and most of the quickest guys were running 24x cams. Tony should be done the msd intake this week. Crossing my fingers it picks up et. Honestly I'd be tickled with 1-2 tenths with new cam/intake combo

LSL/LXL 239/246 110+2 would be a pretty badass track-oriented cam.

I bet so! I'm gonna run this big nasty cam for the rest of this season and see how far we can push a flat top piston ls1. Starting to get cool here. Hopefully get some good air to run in.

I think your right. Tuned on it tonight and it's taking 3-4% more fuel 5500rpms and up. Mamo Msd will be here Thursday. Hopefully it makes more power with that plastic diamond.

Plastic diamond is right! Never bought a plastic intake and never plan to in the future either. Glad to see it took more fuel and hopefully if the intake does what it should you can add some more. $$$$

My VE went up a fair amount going from fast 102 to MSD. First baseline run went lean at max power with no toon changes. Fwiw.

What's your current cam only 1/4 times? I think the Mamo MSD will gain nicely. Always fun to see any previous LS records broken.

What are your thoughts on a Vic Jr/4150 or Pro Flo for what you are trying to accomplish?

I'm ported 243's so no cam only record for me. Although I do think that record could be broken. I have my fingers crossed with the MSD. I will have the air and track prep to go as fast as possible here shortly if everything goes right

I really haven't looked into them since the class I'm running requires LS cars to run a plastic intake. But I'm torn on whether the MSD is gonna made a difference in et over the FAST. We will know soon enough

That's a lot of money to spend when you already have a top shelf intake. MSD hasn't made me feel all warm and fuzzy, kind of disappointing. But I know they like RPM better.

Oh yea I agree! Good news is if it works then I'm deeper in the 9's, If it doesn't I can sell it or the FAST for good money. My 1-2 shift is 7050 and my 2-3 happens right around 7350. I'm gonna bump both of them up with the new cam and intake. I'm gonna try and bump my launch rpm up also if the brakes will hold. Still foot braking the 4l60 smh...
