Default Sealed Power intake and exhaust valves for 317/799 heads

I will be swapping to 243/799 cylinder heads soon and transferring over my valve springs and retainers. I noticed that the Sealed Power intake and exhaust valves (same valves for 317 and 799 heads) are pretty cheap and was thinking of getting fresh valves for the new 799 heads. This way there would be no wear from years of rocker tip contact.

I suppose using lapping compound to seat the new valves in would be a good idea.
Is there anything bad with using aftermarket replacement valves over the factory ones?

Are your present valve worn out? Really worn from rocker tips? If not, just use what you have. Sealed Power should do well if they are indeed needed.

I have used sealed power valves in diff heads/engines from diff cars/trucks that I have mechanic on over the years. I haven't had issues with them.

Just add lapping compound and install. pretty good quality for the money.

I know it seems like a waste but I meant just in case if my new heads have worn valves...then again my 317 heads have the same valves but I won't know their true condition until the 317 heads come off.
