1000hp build On a 5.3 Old but want details

In my opinion, have the engine stripped down to the bare block. Have it sonic tested before doing anything. Now, you can bore a Gen3 Iron Block to a 347.92ci at Max, which is 3.910" Bore. Generally, most will go with a 3.903" or 3.905" bore. You can also stroke it to 383 using a 4.00" Stroke.
One of my work buddies built a Turbo'd 383 using a Gen4 LMG 5.3 Iron Block last year and used it in a sandrail. Had the block bored to 3.905", used Diamond Pistons and rings for boost, Callies 4.00" Dragon Slayer Crank and H-Beam 6.125" rods, TrickFlow Gen X Heads...225 I think, and a Single 80mm Turbo. Tho, his goal was 1,000 crank hp, which was achieved at 15.8 psi at 6,400 rpm.
Now, is there any reason why you havn't thought of using a LQ4/9 block as well?
Regardless, talk to an engine builder who has experience with boosted LS engines.
