Default New Build RWHP guess? Sugestions

About to start my new build.

TFS as cast 220 heads Brian Tooley worked with PM guides
Pat G custom spec cam
Stock rockers Trunion upgrade
Brian Tooley platinum duel springs ti retainers
Johnson 2110 lifters
RPM Speed hi flow oil pump
42lb injectors
Racetronix 255lph hotwire pump kit
Monster Stage 3 w/ tick master cylinder speed bleeder, 18lb billet fly wheel
JP performance billet gear single timing chain

Car has LS6 intake stock TB and MAF with a FIPK
Pat G will be tuning the car.

I'd love to get a fast 102 ect but I think the clutch is more important right now... I'll save for that set up.

Any ideas on power? I'm hoping for 450+ car is a M6 with 1 7/8 LT and cutout. (perhaps i'm expecting to much???)

Any build suggestions? should I change the FIPK to perhaps a large 102mm lid in future preperation for the fast 102??? any sugestions??

You'll be way over 450rwhp with a M6. Straigtline performance did years a auto 4l60E WS6 with a 3400 stall, 228 single pattern cam, unported fast 90 and a Y Pipe/SLP headers. The car made 446/430 on a mustang dyno.

I REALLY dig your parts selection!! Pat G is a legend and LS guys know Tooley heads performs at the track where it matters!!

Youll have the power to go 11s all day. Key to a 6 speed car is traction and suspension.

It's just gonna depend on the dyno but I'll say right around 450 hp. A stock Fast 102 might get you 20 hp

I think Pat G tunes on a Mustang Dyno, think he mentioned it being a bit of a heart breaker..... I really not so hell bent on getting a specific number as I am in laying down some good performance. Hoping she can stand up to a GT350 and some of those few mod 5.bros..... With bolt ons I was 12.5 ish at the track hoping I can get into the 11's with these upgrades. Any sugestions towards the build? I kinda felt like it was a solid selection of parts.... I was contemplating just going an LS2 chain but opted to go with the JP.... I aslo picked up an AFR to put in my middle air vent.... wonder if I should get rid of the AFR and the JP timing set and maybe put some of that cash towards the Fast 102mm??? Or maybe just wait and stay on target...

You should have no problem running with a stock gt350 or bolt on 5.0 with your setup. What kind of tire do you run?

Guess I forgot to mention that I did have brian mill the heads to a 61cc chamber should be running 11:1 compresison with a stock .051 gasket. That will probably just bump my torque up though.

No that's a good tire for the 17" wheel. If you ran 12.5 with that tire before I see no reason why you couldn't hit high 11's after the new mods. Milling those heads and bumping up the compression will help both horsepower and torque

According to Richard Holdener article 20 LS intakes tested the fast 102mm intake made 30 horses roughly over the LS6 intake at the crank..... but the test motor was a 370ci.

Im gonna guess around 440 on a mustang dyno. Fast 102 should give you a good 25 hp.

The FAST will pay dividends. Also, you might as well go speed density at this stage.

Could either have your LS6 intake fitted with the LS2 snout by TPIS
And pickup a good used LS2 throttle body. Or sell yours and get the Dorman LS2 intake. Bout half the cost of the FAST102/NW TB. half the gain as well but might sneak into your budget and get you to 465-ish

Sell your LS6 and injectors and you're a good chunk of the way towards a fast. It makes sense to have the tuning done in one shot.

Cam specs are 232/236 .600/.600 114 LSA +4, guess I might as well shell out the coin for the fast 102 and go speed density tune.... decisions decisions....

Consider going to a .041" head gasket. That cam will really shine if you get closer to 11.5 CR

Agreed. SD will be trickier to idle tune, but will make a big difference on part throttle performance with this combo

That's a great cam spec for you. See above note on Compression with that cam. if your power curve peaks at 6500 RPM, you'll be really happy with the numbers you get. When/if you dyno it, make sure they spin it out to 7K so you can see the whole curve
