Default Titan 4 for 11.99?

Hi all, I haven't posted anything for a while as I've been away from racing for a time. I am currently waiting for delivery of a new cam from cam motion. I went with their Titan 4, but I had them adjust the intake lift from .612" down to .595" as I have 1.8 Yella Terra rockers, and don't think I need quite that much lift. My question is two fold; first, is relating to the timing set. Is one timing set clearly Superior to the rest? My second question is subjective. With the stock cam, my best 1/4 is 12.540 @ 111.5 mph. Will the cam change and new tune be enough for an 11.99 e.t. or is .55 hundreths unrealistic from just a cam swap?

With the same 60ft as the 12.5 run, an 11.9 will be very close with the cam IMO

Most Titan IV users are looking for 10.99 but that is with CNC heads or aftermarket with FAST intake too
That is a great cam for sure and M6 cars can trap high but launching/60 foot are where the ET comes from.
You should pickup a solid 45 RWHP and that 116 trap is eleven second potential

Launch/traction is definitely my limiting factor. A pair of 15" wrinkle walls would certainly help, that may be my next mod. And yes, I like the sound of a 116 mph trap speed; that is what actually tells the tale of power.

Id recommend the rollmaster 1180cs. Heat treated gears, torrington thrust besring, iwis P series chain. You cant get much better than that unless you want infinite adjustability with the hex a just cloyes set.
Not a bad price either at $130.
The others seemed to jump right over that part

I believe you mean "You (CANT) get much better than that"

Funny how one letter and a "proof read" can make a Huge difference.

Good product & value/suggestion btw.

The Titan 4 is a great cam and should add 45+ RWHP to your combo.
Do yourself a favor and get at least a FAST 92 (or used 90) and pick up
another 20+ and torque everywhere over the LS6, especially with
That cam.

Is the .595" lift calculated with "YOUR 1.8 RR ?

You will have the power to pick up 5+ MPH trap even without FAST,
7+ With.

A ported fast 92/92, ls6 MAF, 1-7/8 headers with x pipe duals and you should be looking at running mid 11's in your sleep

I have the stock 806 heads with perimeter bolts, but changing them is a ways off, if ever. Do you ever race at the rock?

I have a set of 806 heads sitting in my garage. Also some black powder coated valve covers that would work with those 243 heads.

Ya I go to Rock Falls quite often along with Power Cruise at BIR. Was actually at the rock a few weeks ago.
