Thinking about a 3.36 gear ratio
Will need a new converter
No dyno tricks as folks here post-uber light flywheel, no accessories, on the edge timing, open exhaust, hurricane wind ram air via exterior fan, etc.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
If the 220 as cast TFS heads was combined with a custom cam from a mad scientist such as Pat G or Brian Tooley. I think 460 rwhp is at the finger tips with EASE threw a stall.... best part about the as cast tfs heads they deliver big numbers for less than alot of other aftermarket heads on the market.
I agree, heads plus mild cam builds are way awesome. Op just does not need head work for his goals.

Yep, the EPS 226/234 in my old LS6 was great. Also how about a reverse split cam like the old TR 230/224 .580s 111.....I read about guys making very good TQ with high HP with reverse split cams MTI x1 is another 230/227 .591 .571 112
Usually, once you have upgraded your intake to a LS6 or fast intake, you do better with a traditional split.
Ws6store asa cam is a good mid-range cam. It will not run with the larger cams, but it is not intended to. It will easily support the 400 rwhp goal of the thread title.
