I searched but haven't found info on 5.7 ls1 oil rings lbs I searched this forum as well as Google for information regarding piston rings of the 5.7 ls1. Anyone know what's the oil ring tension in pounds. I understand that they are low. Ive heard 16lbs and I've heard 11lbs. Thanks in advance!

I think i found out what I'm looking for. I seen on a corvette forum that chevy had an oil consumption issue 2001 and prior ls1s. One of the culprits was 9lbs oil rings that were used. Chevy later changed to 13lbs in efforts to address excessive oil consumption.
