I went through that too. Paid......answered the 40 technical questions.....got a recommendation that was absurd. These tech guys that answer the phones are certainly not as knowledgeable as they are expected to be.

If you're gonna do a turbo in the near future I'd just focus all my energies on that

That sounds like smart move. I know the feeling of wanting to do smaller things in the meantime even though I should hold out for the bigger more important stuff. I need more self discipline in this area myself lol

I would lean towards a miscommunication at some point as well. That would be a very over the top statement by them regarding a 50rwhp gain over the cam you have now. Especially from Cam Motion. Even though I mostly deal with Kip, most everyone there is pretty solid. Glad you got things worked out though. Good luck

If you had 315 CFM @ .600" I think you should have more than 450 RWHP
From 383". What Heads do you have, Patriot? Port size, compression
ratio, 2" LTs, what is your exhaust set up.

MMS 220s, even sportsmen 223s Should clear 500 RWHP Easily
With 235/242, 11.0:1 Comp through a M6 with a proper exhaust.

Nope. I do not have adjustable rockers and I run LLSR. Guy named thunderstruck did it first. I copied his method. I kind of prefer it. Shims don't seem to get out of adjustment.

I work for Cam Motion. I am not sure who you spoke to, but the Titan 5 is not designed for stroker engines like yours. It is a 450 horse or so camshaft in a heads cam car.

For your 383. I would make you a custom camshaft. And, since you have some roller rockers, we can put some lift in it. I would make you a 240/246 on 113.5+3.5 with .650 ish lift. This bad boy will make some good power. With good heads and tune it can make 500 RWHP in a stick car no problem.

When you call, ask for Steven

I've also never heard of them charging $40 for a cam spec. Unless I misread your post.

I do have a full write up on using a Cam Motion Low Lash Solid Roller with non adjustable rocker arms. But Steven who posted above is much more knowledgeable so give him a shout. LLSR might not be up your alley. I love do love mine though.
