well that makes a lil more since. Did he build the short block l33? or a shop? that would be my main concern.

Got the block there is surface rust in the Coolant passages am going to get it baked and cleaned. Will have to get a hone after. Bearings are clevite p on the Rods and Mains. Mahle for rings. The rods are floating and have the 3847 casting. However I'm not sure on the pistons. Anyone recognize if them?

Looks like an OE piston. check the underside for manufacture marks in the casting.

By the time you go through this motor, you should have just put the 500 into your LQ4.
