Default Difference in 2001 to 2007 5.3

I have a J code (DOD) 5.3 that I want to replace with a new motor. I have a 2001 5.3, can I use that short block?

The reluctor wheel is different correct?

Can I replace the reluctor wheel and use the 2001 crank?

The DOD has been disable on my engine. It's a MAF tuned 2007 NBS Sierra with a mild turbo kit.

Thanks,

Roger

07 could go either way on the reluctor. You cant base it solely on the year, you need to check if its a gen3 or gen4 motor.
