Default Upgraded Stock Replacement Rockers

Has anyone used these rockers? I saw them on rock auto.

Melling also has one listed as well.

MR1341

both about the same price.

Upgraded trunnions in them and hardened pivots.

I'd stay away from the bearing rockers and go with the bushing type like this. I've used both and will not use the bearing rockers again. This is what I used

They are cheap though at around $11 ea. Could buy a set, strip them down and sell the reunion kit for a few bucks to recoup some money then buy a bushing kit and be ahead of the game with brand new rockers.

I have 1.....ONE, that I bought to replace 1 that overheated from a lifter failure. It looks just as good as the stocker and seems to have a slightly larger body. I am doing the straub upgrade to all the rockers so as long as the housing is good I should be set.

I would go with gm. If you search they are available new under $10. Shipping might up it a little but not excessively. I don't see any aftermarket bearing setup being superior in longevity. Just use bushings in the stock ones if worried about it. If you're running big cam lift then go with bushings if not going with rollers.

Chinese knock-offs and you should avoid them. Go with OE rockers from GM.

You can buy a full set of new GM for around $90 - 100. The Straub kit is around $200 with the bolts. You can get a set of new GM with the kit already installed for under $300... think of that as buying the parts and getting free labor.

Just did the CHE trunion upgrade on a set of stock rockers. I would look around for a set of used stock rockers. It took me about 2 hours to press out the old bearings and install the CHE trunions. I think it was worth the money and time.

straub will test the rockers before rebuilding the rockers with their trunions and bushings. i would get a good used set and send them in. worth the extra piece of mind, imho.
