I installed 2002 & beyond LS6 bolts. They’re cheap, do the job, and have been spinning to 7k for 8 years. Don’t waste your time with the ceremony regarding ARP bolts.

Not everyone has such good fortune, but it does happen a lot!

Hello OP. Sorry as this is no help to you. I too am interested in this setup peaking at 7k rpm. Maybe some extensive chopping/working of the intake manifold? Do you have a dyno sheet to post?

I think you should be fine revving but it's never a bad idea to take the extra step to be safe.

For what its worth . I too had the same concerns and decided on the ARP . Mine is not assembled yet and installed the bolts on the bench and took them to have them checked after install . What I did was cycled them at 10lb left to right until I reached the magic number of 40lb for my bolts . Did this 3 times on each rod . I have a digital torque wrench and most was at 40lb ( + - .1 ) and a couple at 39.5lb and had one at 40.5lb . Was very careful not to over torque the bolt or rod . In my opinion if you go to far past the torque rating you can deform the rod and there is no turning back even after re torquing.

After taking them the the shop and having them checked all were in spec but one . Said there was a little spot on one and he cleaned it up with out having to resize . I wounder if the one that was 40.5lb was the one that was a little off .

This was to my surprise . I think the key here is do not be hap hazard when torquing . A digital torque wrench is a must in my opinion to be successful .

Default First GMPP LS-2 Dyno test = 8000 RPM STOCK

Hi ALL the GMPP "crate" engine is tested with MAX revs set to 8000 as per Dino, the GM dealer rep.

We made 500 HP (bench) with ALL stock internals.

The pictures will stand for the truth, I HOPE !

This test was done in 2007.

The posted cam card was not mine.
The only cam specs I have are then ones I posted. Rob couldn’t remember the specs, or perhaps still wanted to keep them hush hush. But this cam and head setup is meant to work all together beautifully. I’ll post the dyno numbers once I have them.

I don't see a fast 92 pulling to 7000+

Fortune aside, they (stock Z06) were recommended by a member of the Vette design team, who said that they will do the job, safely.
