243 heads porting ?s
So I took my heads to a guy that does porting he told me that he would port them for me. But what he told me is that he would do a valve job to accomadate a set of 2.02 and 1.57 valves along with the swirl where the intake valve goes through and also the valve seat piece that had that lip under it. Bit he told me not to waste the money on port matching the exhaust to my headers because the valve will only let put so much and the hole will only accomadate to that valve so there would be no need to port match my 1 and 7/8 headers. Also he said I didnt really have to port match my fast 102 intake to the intake ports on the heads. Is any of this true? The guy gets alot of business and works on Sprint cars and things like that and hes basically doing what texas speed would do for half the price. But the exahust and intake ports just didnt seem right to me wouldnt you want to open them up a bit? This set up is going on a 6.0 bored .030 over to make a 408. So I didnt wany to spend 1600 plus for a set from trick flow or somewhere so i figured what I had I could get close for what I had around the garage. But what do you guys think?
so what would you recommend for a basically street 408. I don't really have 2k to spend on heads lol

The ones that were mentioned are some of the very best and will make a good bit more power. With that said only you can determine what's best here based on your goals and budget. Know what I mean? And again there is nothing wrong with those 243's...just not optimal
I talked to the guy and he said he can get the flow of the heads similar to what tsp amd ai amd all them can do and he said that he can provide me with flow sheets to prove it. Would you guys think that would be good enough?
Stock valve guides are iron, NOT bronze. They are available on TFS heads also
