Default Spend my money for me

So, here is what I have.

TMS LQ9, CNC 317s @ 69cc, 10.75 CR

227/236 .600/.600 110+3 cam

4l80e swap, Circle 2 3200 stall

3.90 gear

I’d like to have some more ummph throughout the power band. I’ve thought about 799/243s and a .021 headgasket which would put my CR around 11.9, give or take.

The crazy side of me then starts thinking about the 706 heads. With the same .021 gasket, that would be approx 12.5-.7 CR.

I don’t plan on spinning this over 6500rpm.

It’s a 2006 xcab Sierra 2wd.

That cam will like compression. I'd swap to the 243/799 heads. Possibly even decked/ported versions. 11.9:1 compression isn't going to be so pump gas friendly. Your cam isn't particularly big, but I'd stick with a head gasket no less than .040".

I appreciate it Joe.

Will the 1.2’ish CR Point be noticeable? I know we’re dropping quench into a more favorable area but would it be worth it?

In looking at my logs after swapping cams, I’m hitting around 1.02-.05 grams/cyl now. I know with increased compression I’ll have to be careful with timing and AFR.

Default ITB 65mm of eight = 75+ HP increase

Hi MM26, you could fit my Eight Stack intake under your Sierra hood.

The intake will ADD power from top/bottom of the revs with a common HP increase of 75.

The "look" would be in orbit, thus stating your handle well.

The pictures/information I can send if asked ?
