Default PRC 247 Results

I've only seen one set of results with these heads.

Does anybody have any numbers for them? They look like they'd work well and for the price, would be hard to pass up.

I've been curious about those heads, they sound like they'd be killer and at a great price too.

I've seen two now. Both 570 but neither on a standard Dynojet. And both with 251/259 cams... one cut on a 110 and the other on a 114.

Those are pretty good numbers. But that's a lot of cam to hit 570 with a 416-418.

I think TEA/TFS 245s have hit closer to 600 with cams that size and 247/255 114 type cams are around 570-575.

Actually, I found a couple of more. The 570 was on a 408 also... 418 I'd imagine would be better with more bore.

There was a 402 with AFR 225s that swapped over and hit 546 unlocked with a 244/256 cam.

And another that hit 540 with PRC 237s on a 402.

So seems like they can definitely hit 650-670HP on an engine dyno.

That's a good question. If you kept the same top end, I bet you'd be hard pressed to tell - especially ont he street

I picked up some 15s and 325/50-15s for my car. My wife was very unhappy. Not because I spent the money. But because I was readying it for the drag strip. So we had a long talk.

She absolutely does not want me racing the car.

At this point--going with a blower setup for a 100% street car seems a bit ridiculous. If I didn't already have the heads/cam on there, then a P1X might not be a bad choice for a 500-550rwhp car. But since I'm just a 416 shortblock away from that now, it'd be better to just do that.

So along those lines, I was wanting to see if it was worth upgrading the heads too without spending $4k on them.

why not just go with something proven like a tea/btr tfs 245? i know its a few hundred dollars more... but every time i had seen a tfs head car on a dyno, it outpeformed the PRC with similar mods..PRC still performed great though.

Personally I like your decision to go NA. A larger motor with a flat torque curve is a blast. I agree with above post on TFS as well.
