BTR TFS 220's EPS Cam... WHOOPS!

I really want a 125mph trap speed in good air. Would be tough in a full weight WS6, but I'm going to try. Cam may hold me back a bit, but that'd make it even sweeter. Should have excellent street manners too.

No I didn't. Every time I should be ready something comes up. Last fall and this spring we're lost to the drivetrain upgrades. If my valves had been good I would have run it soon. Not worth risking a valve failure at this point.

I'll do a drag setup if I have to, but I've always been a fan of running it with the setup I use on the street. I always run a drag radial, and my wheels are actually pretty light. Fronts are less than 18 pounds and rears are just about 20.

I'd definitely see what it runs with the current tires and wheels first. That way you can compare it to a drag setup, and decide weather it's worth it or not to you

Well I forgot to mention it was a unported fast 90mm on the car, 228R cam,12 bolt rear, TFS 220s by Tooley, Viglante 3600 stall. Car made 450 rwhp on the money on a mustang dyno. With a 102mm intake and a M6 I see 470 plus happening. I'll put money on it.

I saw one thread with this cam using TFS 215's and loved what I saw. It's almost hard to believe...until I remember that it was Geoff who sold me a TR224 back in 2001 that made 391rwhp cam only. I couldn't believe what his cams could do 17 years ago. Crazy!
What do you guys think about the tune? Should I try to run a MAF or go SD? If a MAF, is there one you'd recommend?

The car I mentioned earlier has a MAF but guys go always go have they personal opinion on MAF VS SD. Tooley once good me for max power go SD.....

Interesting. I've heard throttle response and max power is better with SD, but I'm not sure it's enough to be worth the trade-off. I'm in many various elevations and the weather takes pretty dramatic swings through the seasons here in Michigan. I'd be a bit worried about dialing in an SD tune in the fall only to run into issues in the heat of the summer.

If I run a MAF it'll likely just be the 85mm Z06/truck one. Hio ran that prior to his current intake setup with a lot of success.
On another note; I'm told some parts showed up at the house today. I'll upload a few pictures when I get home. Nothing too fun yet, it'll probably be 4 weeks or so before I get the heads and FAST 102. I'll probably start tearing things down in the next week to get the ball rolling. I will be selling my LS6 intake with ported stock TB, the GTP ported heads and the Thunder Racing cam. More on that after I get everything disassembled and have a chance to look it all over.

Going to be a fun ride!! The power bug has been nipping away at me lately and now that the Fab9" is in and 95% of the kinks are worked out, I really want to go aftermarket heads. I have a excel sheet up with all the different head flow numbers (I know flow numbers are just like dyno numbers) and at the top of my list are the TFS and Mamo heads. Will be cool to watch your progress.

..... for the money Tooley can't be beat. Mamo heads are 3200 without him touching them. Basically a mill job and a hollow stem.

For that difference in cost I need to seriously look into BTR stuff. Honestly I know he does some awesome cams and springs but as silly as this sounds I never even really thought to look at him for cylinder head stuff.

Don't laugh but this was years ago. He ported my cast iron GT40s. I didn't mill them since I knew when I had money I would run boost. I went 12.9 110 on street radials with a 302 n/a car at 3200 pounds and 3.55 gears(I was going 13.4 prior to that at about 103ish). Then with fuel,a tune and 8psi Powerdyne I went 11.7 124 MPH on pump gas on street radials. He was the man back then for 5.0 guys like me.
