Default Cheapo Valve springs on stock retainers

I got a 2002 C5 corvette that I am adding a 228/230, .585 .585, 112 LSA can and I need some budget springs that can handle .600 lift. I want to be able to use the stocker retainers, seals, ect. Budget is around $100-$125.

Seems a lot of the springs jegs is suggesting are kits that could double or triple that my budget. Anyone got some tried and true springs I can throw in and not worry about snapping them daily driving?

Spring stiffness and seat force are much more important. Shims can be used to alter both of these parameters so having a spring that will provide necessary forces to control the valve train and clearance at full lift should also be part of researching new springs.

PAC 1218's will be fine for that setup. You definitely do NOT need double or triple springs for that tiny cam. Sounds like you've been talking to old school SBC guys.
