I could get the converter re-stalled, but I like it tight. I wouldn't want more stall right now. I understand that it might be necessary after installing a bigger cam. For now, it's perfect for the way I drive. I'll try it with the current stall first. If it's not working out, I'll pull the converter and send it to Circle-D.

Like I said before, this is my daily driver. About 99% of the time, I'm just driving to work or to get groceries. I'm not going for max ETs. I just want to figure out a build that will keep it daily driveable, but not be a turd on the track. I was going to swap the 10-bolt for a 9" with .300 gears, but I decided to do the heads/cam first.

Yeah, reliability is important to me. That's why I upgraded the other stuff first. I'm also trying to juggle fuel mileage and performance. That task is becoming very difficult. In the end, I know performance will win.
Just put a 125 shot of nitrous on it, cheaper, easier, and faster then all that other stuff you want to do. As far a beating mustangs a stocker should be easy but a new modded stang will destroy you, it is what it is

Nitrous isn't legal on the streets. I'm not trying to go to jail.

Me either.

I was concerned with it at one point 15 years ago, I just drove around with the line disconnected from the bottle. But I was getting pulled over a lot back then for driving like a jack *** at all times. That didn't last long though, after a short period of time I just left it all hooked up and ready and I sprayed the **** out of it all over town all the time.

And if a person is worried about getting a ticket for nitrous, they should be far more concerned with getting pulled over for racing. If you aren't racing and you get pulled over, cops wouldn't have a reason to mess with you about nitrous so it's really a non issue.

Plus if the bottle is in the back covered, how are they gonna know it's there.

Exactly. If you act like an idiot on the street then you have bigger things to worry about. My bottle is hidden, plus all the switches are hidden. It's not like they are going rip your car apart like some kind of drug interrogated bust lol.

Around here they would, and they know where the bottle is hidden on these cars. Most of the cops are car guys too. They will bust you down. It's not worth the risk.

Anyway, who can suggest a cam for this set-up? I have heard good things about BTR and Cam Motion. Are there any other grinders worth considering?

A cam is far more noticeable than nitrous, you can't hear that the car has nitrous idling at a light. I can't recommend a cam, it's too risky, those pesky car guy cops will be all over you.

Are you serious? This is how we roll in the good ole Republic of Texas:

Daily driver. Nitrous bottles, front and center. No fu(ks given......

If you need to be as low key as you're describing, you need to do a Vortech V3 Si kit. It's nice and quiet and can easily do 500 at the wheels. Keep your stock cam, heads, and intake. Have the car tuned for E85. You'll need bigger injectors (60's will do) and a Walbro 450 pump. The 450 is E85 compatible.

Damn right, and no cop has every given me **** about my nitrous, turbo, slicks, loud *** exhaust. In fact I got let go all the time in my camaro that was loud as f and ran around on slicks. But when I had a turbo integra they weren't near as cool.
