Default Best heads for my combo

I have a 02 ws6 ta auto car with tsp 1 3/4 lt headers, slp lid, slp dual dual catback, tsp 3 in. Ory, ported tb, and circle d 3200 278 mm stall. I have a tsp 223 226 600 113lsa cam, tsp dual springs, and titanium retainers to go in it. I have a set of stock unported 243 heads. I am looking at two options for my 243s. One is to send them to advanced induction for there performance rebuild for $595 which includes cnc competition valve job and milling to 62cc. Option 2 is to send them to texas speed for there stg. 1 cnc porting for $750, which includes cnc porting, cnc valve job, and milling to 62cc. I will be using the stock ls6 intake. Which one of these two head options will work best with my combo to give me good hp and torque, and good throttle response. Car will be mostly a street car with going to the track maybe a couple times a year at 1/4 mile strip. My goal is to put out at least 390 to 400 rwhp. Im really shooting for 400.

The AI option will make a tad more power, but bang for the buck only you can decide obviously

So the ai performance rebuild with no cnc porting, just cnc valve job and milling will make more power than the tsp full cnc stg. 1 port job with cnc valve job and milling using stock gm valves.

IF the AI job includes bowl blending, I can see it. But the otherwise they are VERY similar other than TSP doing a CNC port job, and I have a tough time believing AI's job makes more power without doing any porting. The most effective part of a port job is the bowl blend.

No, this just includes valve job and milling for $595. doesn't include bowl blending.

I actually read this wrong, sorry about that. That's what I get for trying to multitask lol. I believe they will be very similar in overall power. AI does great work, but the porting part is very important as well. Honestly if it were me I'd go the TSP route. It's probably splitting hairs, but I'd like to have the comfort of knowing that I had a complete job done instead of half. Does that make sense? I'm not sure you'll find any direct comparison between these two options

TSP is known for doing a good complete job, and delivers good bang for the buck.

Ok. Will my small cam and ls6 intake be able to take advantage of the tsp cnc porting. I just want to have a good matched combo if i can. I don't want to have parts that are mismatched and don't compliment one another. I've read where the ls6 intake doesnt flow much after 260cfm.

Nah that cam and LS6 are just fine for those heads. Of course a bigger cam with a bigger stall will be a little faster, but there's nothing wrong or mismatched with what you have now. I promise you that LS6 intake will be more than fine with your setup. Forget the flow numbers. They do not tell the whole story

Ok thanks dude. I'll send them to tsp for there stg.1 full cnc port job using stock valves. This comes with a 225cc intake runner after porting. Stock 243 is 210cc. Im glad to know this bigger runnner won't lose any low end or midrange torque and power.

Looks like you're on a good path to LS happy-time! The combo discussed will be a nicely well-rounded performer!
