Finally! I cannot believe it took this long for a company to respond to this ridiculous engineering oversight. GM put an inner race there for a reason - to think you could just omit it and expect longevity is plain insanity.

Good on you guys for sorting this situation out.

I think the aftermarket gambled on a larger trunion and needle bearing to keep costs down but also to maybe add surface load area. The actual metallurgy didnt work out on some.
These rockers are $120ish less than the next in line NEW trunion upgraded ones with the bronze bushings from either company smith/straub or CHE.

But this definitely remedies all those issues plus the whole bearing is made by INA, one company, so they know whats up.

You have my attention sir. Looks like a nice upgrade option. I’m especially interested in the cartridge option as I have a brand new set of stripped down Ls3 rocker arms awaiting...

any reason why the trunnions weren’t made wider to use a retaining clip?

Because the inner race is pressed on. I have DESTROYED one to take it apart. Nearly impossible. Plus there was no reason.

For the same reason there are no clips on pressed-pin pistons.....

Awesome! I was hoping for a tight interference. I know the oem trunnions are on millions of trouble free cars, but I was a bit surprised by how easy they squeezed out in a vise. I imagine installation method is the final hurdle for a diy cartridge option?

No its super easy. Use a vice or a press or even a ball joint press. It presses in as a single cartridge with no worry about slivers of bronze, needing to blow things out, using proper grease or lube. No need for super accurate measurements or issues with heavy valves wearing the bronze out like we have been told on numerous occasion also.

The pricing is the issue as well as checking fitment with ls7 rockers.

I have a set of these from the previous vendor, and as far as I can tell, they're the same. They're been sitting on a shelf along with the rest of my LS6 heads/cam swap for a few years due to both budget and time constraints.

Being as there wasn't a lot of feedback about these and I was a little doubtful, I also picked up a set of the Traub trunions to press into my original rocker arms whenever I get around to actually doing the swap.

Should I run these rocker arms? Or the Straub setup in my originals? Ideally I'm looking for quiet and trouble free. Will be getting installed with a set of mildly ported 243 heads and an LS6 5308 cam.

The roller design will not wear like any bronze will. They are very likely exactly the same as what you have. They are quieter than stock but not sure they will be AS quiet as the softer bronze is, but they will last well beyond the service life of any bronze bushing.
I have seen the rollers move around the race during use so that also helps out with any "learned wear area" so to speak that the needle bearing style may have or that the press in bushings will have.
