Default 5.3 bore to 5.7 piston question

I bore out my 5.3 to a 5.7 and was planning on using the same rods and crank but i was wondering what pistons i should use i was planing on using this ls1 aftermarket Diamond power pistons question is will they work on my rods?

It would help to list a part number. You should be looking for a piston with a .94x” pin bore and a 1.3xx” compression height.

They are compatible with the ls1 rods and i heard 5.3 and 5.7 have the same rod

Now I have a forged iron 5.7... I just hope the cylinder wall don't crack machine shop told me they cut off a lot

Diamond Power LS1 pistons are oem replacement , they are press pin .So if you're 5.3 rods are pre 2004 they will work.

Doing a 5.3 to .7 right now. No issues with the bore with 5.7 pistons and using original crank.
