Heres something; What if burning fuel has NOTHING to do with it?

Most people will likely immediately scoff at such a suggestion but its entirely possible. As above with the mirrors and fuel mileage there could be something else we are not looking at and barking up the wrong tree. There is much to consider, especially the unknown, or the unseen. Theres exponentially more to discover about science than we currently know. Follow the money, you get your answers

I’ve noticed all of my vehicles get better mpg using ethanol free gas. There’s a station just a couple miles from home that sells ethanol free 93 octane.

I run nothing but this in my ls1.

My daily is a 2016 F150 with the 5.0 coyote and I’ve tested several times and the ethanol free 93 gets around 1.5-2 mpg better than other brands of 93.

Thats mostly because alcohol has a lot less energy density by volume so you burn considerably more to get equal output as you do with straight gasoline. There are some benefits to alcohol though with higher octane and far superior latent heat evaporation

I wonder if anyone has ever done a back to back dyno test with ethanol free 93 vs 93 with ethanol?

What I remember is that the thought was, with ethanol carrying some of its own oxygen, it would lean out the A/F in cars using it. The reason that is bogus is O2 sensors. They will adjust the mix for correct oxygen levels, as most of us know. Only in VERY old carbureted cars would that work, but their numbers are comparatively few and dropping all the time.
Get the ethanol OUT, NOW!

When testing for gas mileage on long trips in my 91 RS Camaro, I noticed ethanol free 93 was about 1 to 1.5 mpg better than 93 with ethanol.

I greatly dislike gas with ethanol in it.
