Default Pistons

Hey guys, I'm looking at a set of pistons with a .943" wrist pin, pressed or floating, but my problem is I can't seem to find any rods that will accommodate this in the length I need(6.098"). I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction?

This might sound dumb but I've been gogling it for about 3 days and haven't found a single one haha. It's a 2001 6.0 lq4. Do you have any rod and piston sets it's bored out .020"? As I'm not exactly sure of my piston choice either. It's my first time building an engine and all of the choices are a little overwhelming.

Default Wayne Brooks RaceTec Forged Pistons

Hi Kevin, I supply RaceTec Forged Pistons.

THEY do NOT charge more for a somewhat "custom" piston over a shelf price piston. ( common at $50.00)

The RaceTec facility is the ORIGINAL JE plant, the Business that Wayne Brooks STARTED

I can place your order.

We have stock style heavy duty pistons with a hard anodized top. They will work up to 10lbs of boost. 4.020 bore. We also have an H beam rod for them with ARP PRO2000 bolts. Rings are std fit so no need to file but you can file them also if wanted to run boost later on.

Kit runs $899 for rods and pistons and rings.
Bearings are $85 for rods and mains to fit stock crank and these rods.

We also sell the How to Build and Modify GM LS engines book. Its $28 retail or we have it in our complete heavy duty ls gasket kit for $330. The kit comes with everything gasket and bolt necessary to rebuild nearly any LS engine and all are heavy duty and better than OEM.

Please let us know if we can help!

Thanks

just curious, what brand rods and pistons are those? That seems like a great deal. Would they work with stock heads and valves?

I was ideally looking for forged pistons, do you have any kits with those? Or could you recommend a part combination?
