Exclamation Valve Spring Question

I am upgrading to a .600 lift cam and going with btr 660 valve springs. Can I reuse my retainers and keepers?

Thank you in advance!

No, you can’t reuse stock retainers but the stock locks should be ok to reuse. Just get the kit with the locators, seals, retainers, etc.

Why would you want to? Are you not getting new springs? They should come with them.

If your going through all the trouble to do the swap use the BTR retainers and locks id also recommend the titanium retainers to shed a little weight on the valve train.

This exactly!

You can buy the correct parts from BTR without the dual springs to save some cash. You’re going to need new locators anyways as the oem seal/hat pieces won’t work with the dual springs. And as mentioned the oem beehive retainers won’t fit the dual springs either. And another vote for the Ti pieces as well.

most folks just opt for a whole kit.

You do not need a dual spring, a quality (PSI) beehive is more than enough, can use your stock retainer & locks, and will be extremely durable.

If you need more advise let me know.
