Default 317 cylinder head damage

Just picked up a lq4 off of craigslist and of courrse when i pull the heads i find pieces of metal debris in 2 of the cylinders, looked like washers. Luckily the cylinder walls are fine and i dont need the pistons but the head is damaged. Looking for opinions on if its fine to run, if its worth having a machine shop check it over or if i should just start looking for a head. Thanks

Take them to a machine shop; have them cleaned and pressure tested. If they say they're good, then run them.

While they're there, I'd recommend a resurfacing and valve job, but that's just me.

They don't look damaged in the usual sense of the word. Just a little dinged up in the chambers which can be smoothed out. But as said, let a pro inspect it let him have the final word.

Well it's kinda hard to tell from the pictures but it appears you couple deep nick's in the top pic lower chamber peak and bottom pic one at 5:30 some of than will come out with a mill. But I would have those two spots welded then polish and soften the Chambers and you should be good.
