Picked up a set of 243 heads and just finished assembling with Summits dual spring kit recommended for the cam I got. Now on to cleaning the block face which to me is the worst part of it all.

Yes, thanks for asking. I lost a couple weeks due to parts delays. Most recent was due to clogged pushrods I received. Make sure you inspect your parts!

I just finished assembly yesterday and got my car back on the ground. I still need to finish edits on the tune and should be starting up next weekend.

Cool, i'm building a motor for my brother. depending on your results we maybe using the same cam. he's not looking to spend a ton of cash and he doesn't want a max effort cam. he just want's a nice idle and good drivability

Finally made it to the track. Only stayed for two runs, went 11.66 then 11.63 at 115 with 1.55 60' and 2984 DA.

Thanks to WS6Store and Summit for the parts to make this happen.

Nope, wish I did. It is just a basic Z28 with the front sway bar and spare tire removed, then a heavy bolt on 3 point frame connector to put weight back on.

My hardtop cloth A4 z28 weighed 3440 stock, Id imagine your car weighs in the 3380-3420lbs range +/- depending on if its a hardtop or T-top. 11.6 @ 115 seems decent for the mods. Now to get it to work more efficiently and run a little harder. Congrats

Thanks, it is a hardtop. It was a good start especially the track i run. Everything is a little slower here. I would have liked to see a couple more mph for the et. But like you said lots of room for improvement.

I think it was the Stage 2 closer to the bottom of the list, the 226/238.
But I might be wrong. It's been 2 years....

Mavn might have been referring to his Sum-8715 Ghost cam...the 222. That’s a bit smaller than our stage 2 226 Sum-8707. And we have stage 2’s in truck and turbo versions as well.

I'm going to get the 8713 or 8714 from summit. would the 8714 stg 4 truck cam be a good fit with the circle d 2600-2800 stall?

You p'md me about this. Do the 8713 with that stall in your truck swap.
