Default Swapping to Gen 4 rods worth it?

Hi all. For my estimated 400- 450 rwhp estimate, is it worth going with gen 4 rods?

The engine I'm rebuilding is gen 3 and plan to reuse/recondition block, crankshaft and connecting rods

There are Gen III's all over putting out the power you want without issues. Unless you can get a real killer deal on a Gen IV set of rods I would not loose any sleep over it.

At that power level you'll be fine. Keep on rolling with what you have.

i'll play devil's advocate. if you're gonna be doing pistons might as well throw another $100 into the fire in case you get the turbo bug.

Besides size and thickness, what is the difference between gen 3 and 4 rods. I see something about floating rods for gen 4.

I think gen 3 is press fit and gen 4 is floating? If I go with Gen 4 rods, would I need any additional supporting parts that the gen 3 doesnt have?

The bushed rods are about 30 grams heavier. I wonder if you would need to rebalance the entire assy ?
