Default COPO Camaro oil pump spring in Melling 10295?

Installing my new pump on my turbo LQ4 (new build). Pump came with 3 spring options Stock (blue) / High Pressure (Red installed from Melling) and then they included the COPO Camaro spring ( M29527 ) with the following explanation sheet (see pic).

Should I install it???

I’m using the same pump and mine only came with two springs. The red spring was already installed and it is supposed to be the performance spring which has a higher pressure which is the one I’m going to use and here’s why. Some of the gen lll engines have had the very common lifter noise and I believe in part it’s because at idle the pressure drops too low. The red spring will help keep the pressure up at idle over the stock spring. There’s nothing wrong with a little extra oil pressure as long as it stays within a specified range and the red spring is definitely in the range. Even though it says that it doesn’t increase idle pressure mine always have but then again that could have been because the stock pump was worn out. Use the red spring and you’ll be happy plus it’s good insurance.

The oil pump doesn't pump enough at idle to crack the relief valve. As long as idle pressure isn't as high as the relief pressure the spring makes no difference at idle.

Thanks for the responses but none of it addresses the COPO spring Anyone seen/used this setup? I did a search here and a general Google search but didn't even find any discussion on it

I see no reason why you would want or need 15 lbs. more pressure than the already high pressure 10295 pump puts out. I see it as simply a waste of horsepower.

And heats up the oil for no practical reason.
